Concept:Nothing to hide

Nothing to hide, but nothing to show you either.

'Nothing to hide' is a fallacious pseudo-argument against privacy which states that if a person has nothing to hide, then they have nothing to fear from privacy invasions.

The argument, nonsensical as it is, only makes tiny amount of sense if one is the member of the dominant or majority social group in the society and the usual suspects such as governments, media and major corporations fully align with your personal views and beliefs on all topics of import.

In reality, everyone is a minority on some terms and can be discriminated against in some way, lawfully or otherwise. Power structures change, elections are lost, coups are successful, takeovers are inevitable, and eventually this argument is revealed for what it is; an attempt to stigmatise and often criminalise the basic human right that is privacy.
