This template is meant for [[pull quote]]s, the visually distinctive ''repetition'' of text that is ''already present'' on the same page. In most cases, this is not appropriate for use in encyclopedia articles. The [[Wikipedia:Manual of Style#Block quotations|Manual of Style guidelines for block quotations]] recommend formatting block quotations using the {{tl|Quote}} template or the HTML <[[blockquote]]> element.
