In the world where every page load assaults you with concentrated attempts to control your mind and decisions it makes (which do work, regardless of how much you think they don't), blocking ads is the right thing to do.

They have re-arranged the world to put themselves in front of you. If you want to support content creators, donate instead. Most ads pay so extremely little that donating almost any amount means you're supporting the content creator far more than suffering through endless ads would.
